Labour pledge to protect free-to-use ATMs

Shadow Business Secretary, Rebecca Long Bailey, announced that maintaining the free-to-use ATM network will form part of Labour’s 5-point plan to protect the high street.

Speaking at the Labour Party Conference in Brighton, the shadow Business Secretary said protecting ATMs was needed to save high streets from “a slow and agonising death”.

Labour MP Ged Killen and supporter of our campaign to stop ATM closures said:

“If any government is serious about economic development in our towns and high streets they need to protect the financial infrastructure people and business rely on.”
