The regulator’s initial response

The Payment Systems Regulator (PSR) has made their initial response to our super-complaint. It is now gathering information to help them build a clearer picture of the issue.

This includes:

  • Establishing the scale of the problem;
  • Looking at what protections are currently in place;
  • Seeing what relevant developments are on the horizon;
  • Asking what actions they or other organisations can take.

As part of this they are collecting stories from people who have been affected by bank transfer scams. If you think you have been a victim, please use our tool to tell the PSR.
